LOT with SOFIA (and KIKI)

Here is Lot, aka Lolo which suits her even better as it rimes with YOLO & FOMO; keywords if you ask me to get to know this girl… Lolo knows what she wants and, after a good nights sleep, she decided to go for 2 handbags (less ain’t more, it is definitely less!)

Her approach to a bag; … it has to be a strong & stylish fillable companion; waiting for her to be grabbed on her way out to conquer the world with her big smile.

Ì made her a silver KIKI; to shine, across the country, abroad and between the cows in her backyard. Don’t be mistaken, it ain’t all olé olé; Lolo is a hard and successful worker too. Therefore she has a petrol-green SOFIA – for business – on her side. Great combo if you ask me, great lady too!

JOHANNA and LOLITA

This is Johanna starring with her black textured LOLITA, and her hand-cream. Ideally, she should have worn the JOHANNA-handbag, a very long model, named after her. But in the end she preferred the LOLITA… I guess that’s how sisters are… Thank God my other sister Lot– at least initially – preferred the LOLITA (and not the Johanna…) But I should have known; Johanna is not a fashionista. She’s driven by the powers of nature, a gut truster and a true fond of simplicity, luxurious quality and all things with a bold feminine touch. Though, don’t get me wrong there; she ain’t a princess, she’s a queen. And a fabulous mom. She eats napkins and once could drink like a sailor. In the end she married one, but that’s another story

LIESBET and her SHOPPER DELUXE

Liesbet may appear somewhat reserved at first sight, or even a little strict (she is a teacher indeed…). Don’t let her fool you, we can confirm she’s got some slightly loose screws too… She went quite wild in composing her shopper deluxe. Her device: color! (this one is also #keenongreen) with a touch of nostalgia (blaffeture-cords from the good old times in Western Flanders). Her SHOPPER has enough space to hold a family picnic, some seedlings, two good books, 3 excellent drinks, a bunch of toys and – always – something to hand out to her friends. Yep, that kind of girl …

MIA and IVETTE

This is Mia. From day one she had a crush on IVETTE. My dark green prototype quickly left the studio and kept her company trough tough winter days. Why IVETTE? Because IVETTE is a generous yet light companion that easily carries a good book and even sunglasses. That’s also what she actually wants. Until now though, she’s been keeping lots of other plates spinning, alternated with a swim from time to time. With the sun out she asked me for a summer-IVETTE (‘soft but not dull’ was the device).  Mia also knows very well how to spread IVETTE into the province … much appreciated. I wish them good times together, Mia’s IVETTES will be glad to carry lots of travel- vouchers, novels, clippers, slippers, mignonettes and some toddler toys.

For Inge, a handbag has to fit into and with your bicycle. Ideally a bag should know how to cycle, but DIDDA is not there yet.

Inge knows what she likes and has an eye for beauty. She choose wisely for the all-day IVETTE in black vegtan. Simple, light, timeless. Somehow her IVETTE made her grow hungry for more, and she added SOFIA   to her collection, a solid companion to go to work. Her forest-green SOFIA (matching the true colour of her fingers) holds her computer, a lunch and often some Romanesque goodies. When Inge is not on two wheels, she’s doing her utmost to make the world a more sustainable (and cyclable) place. She’s a great intense girl to have around, just mind your pretzels.

CELINE

with LEA and SUSAN

Little miss sunshine in the greyest Brussels hours; that’s Celine. Here showing off with a minimalist small LEA, but it could have been her big CELINA or deep-green SUSAN, to mention just some of her collection… Celine has been there from the very DIDDA beginnings, with die-hard fan ship, real-life testing, clever advice and international promotion from France to Beirut.

She needs all this different bags, because she is – how to say – quite ‘multiple’. Like in that very intriguing way how she combines four different languages in the same sentence and make her point very clear. She’s a big city-girl dreaming of the sea and the mountains. A brave young mom ánd dancing queen who knows to set the night on fire. For all things eye’s you can trust her blindly; best optometrist in town (with a fan-club). A bonus point for that subtle mix of a contagious lust for life and some saudade from time to time. Fly high Celine! But, maybe, not tooo far away …
